WikiFlow is an independent discovery experience for Wikipedia and Wikimedia content. WikiFlow is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Wikipedia Text

Article text, summaries, titles, and links shown in WikiFlow can come from Wikipedia and related Wikimedia APIs. Wikipedia text is generally available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike terms. WikiFlow shows source links and license links on article cards and reader surfaces so users can open the original article and review the applicable license.

Images and Media

Article images and contextual media may come from Wikimedia upload hosts or Wikimedia Commons. Non-text media can have different licenses, authors, and attribution requirements. Where WikiFlow shows Wikimedia media, the app should keep a source path to the original page or file metadata whenever available.

Attribution Practice

• Keep a visible source link for Wikipedia article content.
• Keep a visible license link for Wikipedia text reuse.
• Do not imply that WikiFlow is the official Wikipedia app.
• Do not use Wikimedia marks as WikiFlow branding or app icons.
• When media-specific attribution is available, preserve it near the media or in a linked detail view.

API and Traffic Practice

WikiFlow should use Wikimedia APIs politely: identify requests with an appropriate app user agent where possible, respect rate-limit responses, avoid request spikes, cache responsibly, and avoid spreading traffic in ways that hide excessive use.

Commercial Use

WikiFlow may monetize its own app experience, software features, device-local profile tools, audio processing, or premium convenience features. Monetization must not remove Wikipedia/Wikimedia attribution, must not misrepresent affiliation, and must not restrict users from accessing original source pages and license information.
